Studio Rate vs Location Rate
Green Relish operates as both a production studio and a filming location.
Studio rate applies when the space is used as a controlled shooting environment (sets, seamless, non-featured backgrounds)
Location rate applies when the architecture, interiors, or furnishings appear on camera
If the space itself becomes part of the visual environment, the booking is treated as a location rental.
Chicago Production Tax Credit
Illinois offers a competitive incentive for film and commercial production. Projects that spend $100,000 or more in Illinois ($50,000 for projects under 30 minutes) may qualify for a tax credit of up to 35% on eligible local expenses, including payments to Illinois residents and purchases from Illinois vendors. Productions must apply through the Illinois Film Office before principal photography begins — at least five business days in advance for most productions, or 24 hours for commercials. Submit the Illinois Film Tax Credit Application to the IFO via email to film@illinois.gov.
